Identified - Related to an update to our DHCP system that took place yesterday, we have discovered a persistent issue that is causing services to some customers with legacy static IP's to go offline every 4-8 hours after renewal. This will mostly affect long-standing business customers in the Charlottesville core.

We have made adjustments to the DHCP configuration to mitigate symptoms but not all are retroactive; if an IP lease was acquired prior to the changes tonight the issue may occur again.

If your service was impacted by this and goes offline again, another reboot of your router and modem should be effective and keep it online for longer than previously. Our apologies for the inconvenience as we continue to work to modernize portions of the old fiber network in Charlottesville.

Update - Although Dominion Energy is still dealing with power issues in the area, some of the power to our impacted equipment has now been restored. Scheduled - Ting Internet / Simply Bits engineers will be performing maintenance to update firmware on our equipment at our Desert House of Prayer, La Cholla, NWST, Seasons, and Zinnia Sites Monday June 30th, 2025, 6:00AM - 7:00AM Mountain Standard Time.

During this maintenance, some customers in Northwest Tucson and surrounding areas may experience a brief service disruption after which connections will automatically be restored. We will be working hard to ensure any downtime is as minimal as possible. If your service is not automatically restored. please power cycle your Router and Power over Ethernet Adapter that connects to the Internet (WAN) port on your router.
